Internet of Things (IoT) is finally coming out of buzzword area to become a factor that will shape future IT. Predictions says that it will be worth $4.5 trillion by 2020. Now it is the right time to make yourself part of it. Low powered or even passive devices will be a norm for implementing IoT. Therefore, we need protocol that will support the needs of devices of this kind. MQTT is a good fit being protocol that is lightweight, open, simple and easy to implement. It has very small footprint and bandwidth overhead. Its publish-subscribe nature enables disconnected devices to communicate with each other without the need of being always online.
